Today we are going to be talking about Which iPad is Best Ipad For Aviation 2022. Now right now on the market, there are so many types of iPad. Got the iPad Pro, 13 inches, the new iPad Pro, 2019 or 2020. You got the iPad Air. You can get the iPad Mini.
And for someone that is just starting out, aviation that wants to get for flight and does not have an iPad yet, there are a lot of options. So today we are going to just go through each and everyone and see which one is best for you. And at the end, I’m going to give my opinion on which one I think the best iPad is. All right. So in my opinion.

But let’s break it down. First off, let’s start with this 13 inch iPad Pro. This is huge. If you break this on an airplane, you’re going to get a lot of heads turning. What I like about the 13 inch iPad Pro is how big the screen is. So you’re never going to miss anything because this screen is huge and you can always Zoom in to Zoom in even more so. And you can see all the surroundings on your iPad if you’re on maps. What’s really cool is you have the Apple pen, you can write stuff, write your craft clearance on here, and makes things very convenient. Instead of having a notepad and an iPad, you just have your iPad for your ForeFlight and all your note, taking down your clearance and everything in one. Because this thing is huge.
You can do all of that and it makes navigating through all of their settings for flight is very convenient as well. However, the biggest drawback to this 13 inch iPad Pro is the Ginormous size. Especially when you’re in a small airplane like a Cessna or an Archer, you’ve got limited space, and pulling this out is going to be hard because you’re not going to have a lot of space in a small single-engine airplane.
So this definitely the biggest drawback is the size of this thing. However, for Brown classes, this is very useful. Reading text and finding graphs is very easy. On this next one.

2. Ipad pro-2020:

let’s move on to the new iPad Pro. Look at this. This form factor is a little bit smaller. It has a new camera with a square camera, and I think this size is much more manageable compared to this giant thing right here.
However, one drawback is that all of these other iPads use the Lightning cable and this new iPad pro uses the USB C charger. Could be a downside flying with all these other pilots and they all have old iPads and they only have lightning cable and you’re running out of juice. And you charge, hey, you have a charger. Like, yeah, I got an iPad charger, but it’s USBC and it doesn’t connect to a lightning cable. That could be a drawback. So this would be really cool to have because of the small form factor. However, another downside of this new iPad Pro could be the price because it just came out and is still kind of pricey, which may be a make-or-break decision for you. So just keep that in mind. This form factor is a lot smaller, a lot more functional. However, it’s a lot more expensive. Boom.

Right here we have the iPad air. This is really nice because it’s even smaller. Actually, it’s the same size as the iPad Pro has a lightning cable because it’s smaller than the giant iPad pro. As I said, it’s easier to navigate. And this is cheaper because this has been out for a couple of years Compared to that iPad pro. So if you put them side by side, you can see they are the same height, same size. However, boom, this one is cheaper. This one is more expensive. So I would say these are about the same.

Last but not least, my absolute favorite to fly with is this year, the iPad mini. I think the iPad mini is the best because not only is it the cheapest of them all, but It’s also the smallest of them all. We put them side by side comparison. Look at this.
It’s a fraction of the iPad pro. What’s even cooler about this? It’s so small, you could even put it in your pocket. Look at this. Boom. I’m going to go fly, guys. Yes. Okay. Cool flying. All right. We got to pull out four flights. It fits in your pocket. This thing is tiny.
I absolutely love flying with this because of the form factor, you can definitely use this in many different spots. No matter how big or how small your airplane is, you can always have your iPad mini with you. So in my opinion, the iPad mini is best for flying.
